Level 1 category (Low level of evidence is required) - E-visa
A 6 months valid passport
Confirmation of enrolment for overseas students,
Completion of online E-visa form which can be found on website: www.immi.gov.au
Credit card payment of AUD450 that no signature is required on the E-visa form
After the completion of the E-visa form, your Transaction Reference Number will be generated. It is strongly recommend that you print this page out for your own reference. Then, please download the medical examination forms, 160EH and 26EH. Please bring these forms to consult any of the doctors on the Australian Consulate panel. After the examination, your medical reports will be forwarded directly to the Australian consulate. (Please book an appointment and pay the required fees)
 
Level 2 category (Low level of evidence is required)
Form 157A (this can be obtained from the Australian Consulate General or downloaded from www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf157a.pdf
Passport (validity must not be less than 6 months)
One recent passport size photo
Medical check up from panel doctor
Confirmation of Enrolment for overseas student
Financial documents
Last 2 years academic result
 
Level 3 category (Higher level of evidence is required)
Including points 1-5 of the above (Medical report can be produced after PVA is approved)
Evidence that there is sufficient fund to meet the costs of all study and stay, from a period of 3 months before submitting the visa application
School reports and academic records
IELTS tested no earlier than 24 months before visa application
A minimum IELTS (5.5 for VET / Non-Award, 6 for Higher Education / Masters / Doctorate, and as accepted by provider for ELICOS) OR lower IELTS (4.5 for VET / Non-Award, 5 for Higher Education / Masters / Doctorate, and as accepted by provider for ELICOS) and maximum 30 to 40 weeks of ELICOS
Mandatory Pre-visa Assessment (PVA)
 
Level 4 category (Highest level of evidence is required)
Including points 1-5 of the above (Medical report can be produced after PVA is approved)
Evidence that there is sufficient fund to meet the costs of all study and stay, from a period of 6 months before submitting the visa application
School reports and academic records
IELTS tested no earlier than 24 months before visa application
A minimum IELTS (5 for ELICOS, 5.5 for VET / Non-Award, and 6 for Higher Education / Masters / Doctorate) OR lower IELTS (5 for VET / Non-Award / Higher Education / Master / Doctorate) and maximum 20 to 30 weeks of ELICOS. For ELICOS study, lower IELTS 5, and maximum 40 weeks of ELICOS.
